Paris trip, August 2006.

Our apartment living room

Just a few days after moving house (which itself came just a few days after returning from Finland) we continued our hectic summer with a short trip to Paris.

This trip had originally been scheduled for Easter, but was postponed due to riots in Paris at the time. We rented a lovely wee apartment in the Latin Quarter, near to rue Mouffetard, for three nights. During two full days, we visited the Eiffel Tower, went for a trip along the Seine, zoomed around the underground, visited the Jardin des Plants and the zoo there, and climbed up to the top of the Sacre Coeur, followed by a trip around the area and Montmatre on a wee street train.

The weather was great, the city not too busy, and all in all, it was a lovely break.

Street cafe life is great!

These were taken around the Sacre Coeur...

At the bottom of rue Mouffetard, end of a busy day.

Sandy and Olivia both loved the Eiffel Tower..

In rue Mouffetard- lazy life!
